After March birthday greetings, Alan Turner announced that all information for Vines and Vittles is now on the website. He encouraged Rotarians to help recruit sponsors as well as food vendors. President Jim Reid then made the following announcements:
Dictionaries project needs volunteers, who are being organized by Cathy Glover.
The Poway Symphony Orchestra Concert will be March 24
Model UN Conference is Mar 23-24
John Mullin will soon describe the revival of the camel project
The Joint Area 10 meeting with Sunrise will be Tuesday evening Apr16
The Vista Hill Fashion Show is Friday Apr 19 10:00 am -2:00 pm at Town and Country
The Seven Oaks clean up project is Saturday April 20, 7:00 am-1:00 pm. Jim Hyldahl can provide flyers and club members are encouraged to attend.

Bob Vaughan auctioned off a beautiful charcuterie board (donated by John Goodrich) for $150, which will go to the RB Club

A check for $3000 was presented to Pam Warnock of the Soroptimist club, and she gave a brief description of their work providing housing and educational opportunities for at-risk women and children.

Paul Courtright gave a Who- Am- I talk


Sandie Dewane invited Terrie Heck to provide an anecdote from his life for the Family of Rotary.


Jim Hyldahl introduced the speaker, Roger Showley, a former staff writer for the SDUT. He gave a fascinating presentation covering some of the history and architecture of San Diego and Balboa Park. After a brief Q&A Cheryl Roop did a book presentation on behalf of the club.


President Jim Reid noted that the next meeting will be in one week featuring Larry Steckler, speaking and showing a video about coral and sea life.
The meeting ended at 13:30.
