Great turnout! Barb Alberts was the greeter, Joel and Pat manned the check-in, and Sandie Dewane helped Rotarians make their own sponsorship contributions to the Vines and Vittles Festival. Katie snapped the pictures, and Dave Brooks kept the PowerPoint “on point.”
Ken Hines was excited to share RYLA progress - 16 high schoolers headed for the big Leadership weekend. Seven are from Del Norte, five are from Mount Carmel, and four are RB High.

Alan reminded us Vines and Vittles is a little over a month away, and we are looking for Rotarian and community sponsors.

New corporate sponsors include Unicorn Jewelry, Realtor Susan Croft, and Submarina.
So far, Kathy Glover has six artisan commitments, and we have nine wineries and two breweries; thank you, Bob Vaughn.

We are short on food vendors. We have the Heights Country Club, Miguel's Restaurant, and Tony's Pizzeria. We need help renewing previous participants and
... Help us identify and approach all your favorite food vendors!
Don't forget Tuesday evening's joint dinner with Rotary Sunrise.
... Please respond to Pat's registration invitation (which went out early this week).
Clean-up day, Saturday, April 20th. Let Jim Hyldahl know if you can make it.
... Lots of high school kids will be there for heavy lifting, early “coffee &” and lunch at noon.

Vista Hill fashion show registration is closed for registration, but Barbara Crew says it’s always a blast and a very worthy cause. Show your support for Barbara Alberts (RB Rotary) and Gary Saks (Hall of Fame), on Saturday, April 27th, when they are honored at “Hats Off to Volunteers” for outstanding contributions to our community.

The NAMI walk for mental health is the same day at 8 a.m., and Hats Off is at RB High at 10 a.m. Jim says it's possible to do both, but it would be great if you could do one.

Today’s speaker was well-known and highly regarded District Governor Janice Kurth from the Rotary International Foundation. It was a great reminder to veteran Rotarians and a new appreciation of the foundation for newer Rotarians.

Janice congratulated us on our club’s high average annual fund contribution per member. She slyly mentioned we were slightly behind our Rancho Bernardo Sunrise sister club, and, of course, our own Jim Hyldahl asked what the annual difference was. $15 per member in annual contributions. Hmmm.

Big applause welcoming Mary Beth back after her illness! Forever Balboa Park received a check for $1,600 and updated us on what upgrades are happening, including the mechanical building and exterior gardens.

Are you interested in a board position on our local Rancho Bernardo Foundation? Check-in with Charlie for information. Elections are coming soon.
