Maguy Feghali welcomed our visitor and guest speaker, and Gary Saks lead the club in our Welcome Song.

President Mike introduced our speaker, Scott Carr, our District Governor of Rotary District 5340, mentioning his extensive career in Rotary.  The Club welcomed Scott with a rousing, specially written version of “Hail To Chief Carr”.  Scott praised our Club as being “an All Star Club”.  The focus of his talk was encouraging club diversity.  In keeping with our club’s explosion of new membership, Scott was presented with the book “Eruption”, to be given to Bernardo Heights Middle School in Scott’s name.
President Mike closed the meeting by quoting Thomas Jefferson: “The care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction, is the first and only object of good government.”
