***Stoneridge Country Club is the location for our meetings through March of 2017 (or until BHCC is reopened). Stoneridge will have a courtesy golf cart shuttle to pick you up in the parking lot if you prefer that to walking.***

Rotary meeting minutes for 3/16/2017
President Benita opened the meeting by thanking volunteers Sally Rovner as Greeter and Ron Hunt for an informative Inspirational Thought. Traci Smart led our Pledge and Jim Sommer led our welcome song and took us through a spirited rendition of Grand Old Flag. For the meeting set up, Benita thanked the set-up crew of Judy Lutticken and Paul Donick, plus Joel Doss and Judy Lutticken for manning the check-in desk. Also receiving special mention were our club photographer, James Kaspar, club secretary Jeanne Hawkins, John O’Neill as Scribe and sergeant-at-arms Vern Cook.Karen Stelman shared a Family of Rotary update concerning Don Lisio and Brian Flaherty. Don is still recovering from the head injury he sustained last year and is unable to drive until the condition improves. Brian is undergoing his last week of radiation therapy. Don and Brian, we look forward to having you back soon!
President Benita announced a LAST CALL for signing up for the May 20th District Conference. There is a 25% discount for all club attendees. Our next TGIX is Sailing With Troy on San Diego Bay. The sail will shove off on April 10th, so if you’re interested sign up right away, there are only three seats left. Karen Stelman paid a generous $40 for our monthly flower raffle. District 5340 recognized Don Glover and the rest of our club as #3 in member growth so far this Rotary year.
Mentors Maguy Feghali, Arilla St. Laurent and Don Glover presented a $1200 check to Joe Perruce as a donation to the St.Madeleine Sophie’s Center. The Center educates and empowers individuals with developmental disabilities to realize their full potential.Finemaster John O’Neill extracted non-green wearing members a St. Patrick’s Day fine. Many generous happy bucks were donated. Many thanks to all of you.
