San Diego, CA January 2019—The Rancho Bernardo Historical Society and RB Rotary Club Foundation are excited to announce a new family-oriented event coming in July, 2019.  Rancho Bernardo’s Webb Park will be the home ,on July 14 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, to “Vines & Vittles” a Western-themed Family Festival
The first annual Vines & Vittles will include a headline band and other musical performances as well as cultural activities.  There will be “tastings” from a variety of food vendors, and wine and beer tastings from local vintners and craft breweries.  It will be a family atmosphere with games and activities such as face painting, petting zoo, and street performers.  Also included will be a “trading post” featuring local artists, Native American crafts, and Vines & Vittles souvenirs.  Entry fees will be at very attractive family-friendly rates. Prices will vary depending on VIP access, alcohol availability, and ages of young kids.

Vines & Vittles will be a unique experience in the North County.  The co-leader of the event, Mike Fuqua, from the Rancho Bernardo Rotary Club said, “We are seeking to create a fun and active family atmosphere using an old fashioned Western theme, while providing activities that will be fun for everyone”.

Vines & Vittles will be located in Rancho Bernardo, but neighbors in the communities of Poway, Carmel Mountain Ranch, Rancho Penasquitos, and 4S Ranch will be in attendance.  Nancy Canfield, co-leader from the Rancho Bernardo Historical Society remarked that, “Webb Park is the perfect location for Vines & Vittles as it has an attractive lake, park-like grounds, plenty of room for games, dancing, activities, relaxing, and an abundance of parking”.

All proceeds from this major event benefit the Rancho Bernardo Historical Society and programs of the Rancho Bernardo Rotary Club Foundation. Both are 501(c)3 non-profit, volunteer organizations, providing community programs and services enhancing the lives of individuals of all ages, from youths to seniors. ”While this event will be a fundraiser to support the important programs of the Rancho Bernardo Rotary Club and the Rancho Bernardo Historical Society, the focus will be on fun and offering all a good time,” said Fuqua.
