Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, our major fundraiser for this summer, "Vines & Vittles family festival" has been cancelled. But we recognize that many of our restaurant vendors are struggling with the stay at home orders and decided to create a program that would provide them some business and as a result support those in need. As a result, we purchased 245 gift cards from Mike’s BBQ, Cork & Craft, Jessies Bake Shop, Duff’s Doggz, Denny’s, Round Table Pizza, Cowboy Chicken, Elements Café, Submarina and Chicken Charlies. Each of these great community assets also contributed to the cause and so we were able to procure cards valued at $5,875 for $4,650. These cards were donated today in various quantities to San Diego Fire and Rescue Foundation (first responders), Palomar Health Foundation (Pomerado and Palomar Hospital nurses and emergency medical staff), PUSD Families in Need Foundation, and Abraxas Foundation (students in need).
