6:08 Inspirational message—Barbara Noerenberg. Barbara provided a heartwarming message about a father and daughter saying goodbye at an airport in which they said to each other “I wish you enough”. She went on to explain the meaning of that saying.

Beernardo is coming Oct 21. Please support our sister club, RB Sunrise in their fundraiser. There are volunteer opportunities.
End Polio Now walk on Oct 22 in Balboa Park. 8 am to 12 pm. Sign up on District 5340 website.
Our next community clean-up will be Nov 4 in Westwood Club parking lot. See Jim Hyldahl to sign up to help. Lunch will be provided.

RB Community Foundation Thanksgiving Luncheon is Thursday, November 16 at 11:00 am. It will be held at the RB Inn. All members are encouraged to attend. There will be NO CLUB MEETING THAT DAY.
The RB Rotary Foundation will be considering annual grants soon. If you have a matching gift that you would like to sponsor, please get the paperwork in asap.
We have resurrected the annual Christmas Tree and Menorah lighting ceremony. This will be a community event and will be held Tuesday, Dec 5 at 5:30 pm on the lawn in front of the Lucia Capital building on Bernardo Center Drive. The ceremony will take approximately 30 minutes and there will be a reception hosted by Lucia immediately following. Santa Claus will be in attendance. Bring your friends and neighbors.

6:25 Family of Rotary—Sandie Dewane provided the following info:
Vern Cook has been having some balance issues and hopes to return soon.
Athenea Luciano will be having surgery on Oct 6. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
John O’Neill is still having health struggles but hopes to return soon. He would welcome cards and calls.
After double knee replacement, Cathy Glover is doing very well and is up and around. She is not ready to sit at a meeting yet but will be back soon.

6:27 Fine Master—Bob Vaughn imposed several good-natured fines and received happy bucks. Of note, there were several people who supported President Jim’s Camel Coat fund.



6:30 Daniel Grab provided us with a wonderful cello recital. He was accompanied by Cho Pak on the piano. Q and A’s followed.
