Today's meeting was a great lunch and presentation by Christain from Oasis who projects 3,000 classes a year in the new building located at the Innovation Center on the hill.  It will hold 250 people per lecture, have an art studio, demonstration kitchen and a coffee cart.  Alan Turner told us that $180,000 was raised from the surrounding residences for this new building!  There will be more information to follow as the construction unfolds.
Mike Stelman kicked off the new fund raiser by handing out fliers for the sale of poinsettias for the upcoming holidays.  They are always beautiful and very well received by both the club members and the recipients. They make great gifts!
There was a wine tasting at Ko Zen on Thursday evening, hosting our club members.  It's always a treat when they get involved and show us a good time!
On November 1st there will be a blood drive and we'll start collecting pajamas for small children again to donate them just before the holidays.  On Nov. 5th,  Abraxas will be holding a fundraiser at their school to support some of their projects.
On Nov. 18th, the RB Foundation will be having their annual holiday luncheon at The Inn.  More information will follow as it's just around the corner.  Hope you can all make it!
Our guest speakers will be CA Center for the Arts next week and I'm sure they will have a lot to inform us about!

Thank you all for supporting our club and raising awareness for all the things we do.  It's a pleasure to be a member of this wonderful Rotary Club!

Sincerely,
Karen Stelman, Scribe
