Rancho Bernardo Rotary
10 October 2024

Today’s volunteers were Frank De Francesco (greeter), Susan Lewallen (scribe), Dave Brooks (AV), Joel Doss, and Mark Alberts (front desk), Joel Doss (Sgt at Arms) and Bill Brehm (photographer).

There was no book presentation. There were two (non Rotarian) guests. A video on Polio was shown and President Terry announced that all Happy Bucks this month will go to the end polio campaign; there was an enthusiastic response to this later, as Bob Vaughn collected the bucks.

President Terry made several announcements:
Sign-ups for Beernardo are on-going
Info available for how to donate for hurricane relief
Our club has now collected 205 of the targeted 350 items for the district-wide End Hunger Drive
A new District Rotary Business Guide is being developed, which will be an excellent way to find service providers who happen to be Rotarians. Deadline for getting into the guide is November 1.

Several members were mentioned in the Family of Rotary announcement by Sandie Dewane

Bob Vaughn gave the Who- Am- I talk
Shirley Napierala requested donations for the Adopt-a-Family program. Focused on low income families in the Poway Unified School District.

Following the above announcements the club broke into 4 working groups to discuss potential improvements to 4 aspects of the 2024 Vines and Vittles. The entire group voted unanimously that the function should be carried out again next year.

The meeting ended at 1330.
