Announcements: President David reminded us that the next meeting will be held at the Country Club of Rancho Bernardo at 5:30 and of the District Conference Dec. 4th. Jim Hyldahl noted that the Oaks North Clean-Up has 32 volunteers signed up that includes some Interactors and he asked members to wear a Rotary 'identifier,' t-shirt, cap, etc. Mike Fuqua passed around a volunteer sign up for Vines and Vittles committees.

Don Glover's Foundation Meeting update brought us incredible news. Last years awards were about $36,000; this year, it has grown to $70,000. Congratulations fellow Rotarians on this success.

Alex Robertson shared his encounter with Prince Albert of Monaco on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the 747 airplane first introduced to Pan American Airlines. A video clip showed the celebration. Dan Barrios presented a 5th degree Paul Harris Fellow Award to Shirley Napierala. Congratulations , Shirley. Mike Stelman informed us that we've committed to 65 boxes of Poinsettias -and encouraged the purchase of more. Proceeds will benefit Marines.

Another special event was Greg Bohart receiving his Gold Badge. Greg was a member back in the 80s, and his father was a member of the club too. His retirement is enabling him once again become active. His sponsor, Gary Saks, Mentor Jim Sommer. Greg is proud of his 8 minute mile marathon in Honolulu when in his 20s. Truly something to remember fondly.

Arilla gave news of John Kasser's progress, and of Francis Blair's surgery. We wish them both well! Arilla then became the surrogate fine mistress in John O's absence as members shared good news of travels, Troy Daum, and wine sale contributions, Bob Bar, etc. as others added happily to our coffers.

Pat Chaffee introduced Adrianna McCollum of Alzheimers San Diego. She made us all feel better noting that misplacing the keys, and not remembering why you went into the other room, etc. are a normal pant of the human brain aging. Not necessarily on-setting of the disease. Her handout followed her narrative in a very informative way that really educated all.
The November 14th Program, Gina Jacobs, SDSU Mission Valley West. Evening Meeting, CC of Rancho Bernardo. At the chime of the Bell, the meeting was adjourned by President Susan at 1:30
