Happy Bucks followed the Boos for Fine Mistress Arilla as she and her Izzy stood before us. She announced no fines this week-a sigh of relief for all. Members contributed voluntary happy bucks for family and other reasons to our coffers.
Announcements were celebratory as President Allan announced that Vines and Vittles (set for May 21) already reached and exceeded its 2023 goal of $60,000. The Foundation funded 43 organizations to the tune of $140,000 and $ 1,000,000 in the last 10 years.

The Scholarship program followed. Thirteen students from Rancho Bernardo, Del Norte and Mt. It began with Gary Saks introducing students with special needs being recognized. This program began in 2015, and Gary explained the mission. The scholarship program has grown to $20,000 this year from a modest beginning.

Terry Heck, Youth Chair, chaired this effort and was moderator for the presentations. It concluded with an inspiring speech that thanked students and teacher leaders for their investment to help others. This quote concluded the meeting- "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible. The Dalai Lama.
