RB Rotary May 11, 2023 Meeting Minutes

This week we were delighted to receive the Junior high school students who we sponsored for Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) to attend the weekend leadership retreat.

It was great to hear the inspiring words from our students, and what they took away from the event.

We were also very pleased to receive the principals from the 3 High Schools that were represented; many thanks to them for taking time out from their busy schedules.

President Alan took the opportunity to talk about Interact at the High Schools; we already have an Interact Club at Mt. Carmel HS and plans for one at RB HS starting in the next semester. Some of the RYLA students from Del Norte HS indicated interest in starting Interact - all very exciting.

Our major fundraiser, Vines & Vittles is coming up fast. The event will be in Webb Park on Sunday, May 21st.
Focus now is on ticket sales and volunteer assignments - all hands to the pumps!

Athenea, as President of the Foundation Trustees invited nominations for the Board of Trustees. We have two nominations for the one vacancy, so a vote will be held at the next meeting.

Jim Reid presented his proposed slate of directors and officers to the Club Board. The members were invited to approve the slate, and there was a unanimous vote of approval from the members.

See you all at Vines & Vittles
