Meeting Minutes
June 13, 2019

President Doug Dawson brought the meeting to order and led us in reciting the 4 Way Test. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Don Glover who first shared the importance and power of a nation's flag. Don and Cathy just returned from the recent Rotary Convention in Germany and witnessed first hand the majesty of the Flag Ceremony. Dan Malloy gave the Inspirational Message.

Our greeter was Shirley Napierala who introduced our guests including Jim's wife Joanne; Doug's wife Jess, Dan's wife Sharon and Gary's wife Didi. The Hyldahls were celebrating their 55th Wedding Anniversary at our Rotary lunch meeting -- congratulations! Not to be outdone by the half century mark, Joel Doss lead us in our Welcome Song written in 1865 at the end of the Civil War. No joke (you're welcome, Gary Saks)!
Doug thanked our volunteers: room setup by Jim Reid and Dave Brooks; check-in by Joel Doss, Toby Westbrook and Phil Warner; 20th century musical interlude by John Hawkins; meeting pictures by James Kaspar; Bill Angus for doing the newsletter; meeting organization by John O’Neill and meeting scribe, Jeanne Hawkins.

Dave Brooks presented the Jim Edwards Attendance Award to Gayla Williams. Congratulations Gayla on 13 years of PERFECT attendance!

Don and Cathy extended their trip to Sweden to vacation and meet relatives and returned with club banners (and sand) from the Baltic Sea. Don reminded all world travelers to attend Rotary meetings and exchange club banners.
