RB Rotary Club Meeting Notes 

February 9, 2023

Four Way Test

Inspiration was provided by Emily Paup: 

Emily shared a delightful story about how she has been able to witness the annual Grey Whale migration.  The whales show perseverance and service above self as they make the dangerous migration.  Her story demonstrated how our actions have more positive impact than we realize on others.  

Family of Rotary – Arila

  • Reported that Sandy Dewane had knee replacement surgery and is recovering.

  • Don Glover is home and doing well.

  • Sonny’s account was hacked – if you get an email please do not respond.

Vines and Vittles sponsorship goal $60,000 currently at $18,125 or 30%

Speaker – Barb Fiorina, Support the Enlisted Project (STEP)

Barb shared that they assist young enlisted military and their families with all types of needs from food, to clothing, to car payment and insurance assistance.  They had 100 people visit them for help last month.  They provide support from Social Workers who also offer financial counseling.  Their services are free. STEP is funded through grants, private donations and a small percentage comes from companies.  They accept donations of items at their location.  Tours of their location are available upon request.
