Calendar Changes
A quick reminder to all that we are DARK this week​​​​​. There will be no meeting at The Heights this Thursday in exchange for our Saturday event (read below). 
Please note, that our next regular club meeting at The Heights on March 6 will be a LUNCH gathering, as they could not accommodate us for dinner. Instead, March 13 will be our evening meeting.
 
 
Interfaith Tour, Saturday Exchange Event
This Saturday, March 1, we will meet off-site at: Interfaith Family Shelter (The building is titled, "Hawthorne Veteran And Family Resource Center")
250 N. Ash Street
Escondido, CA
The tour begins at 11 a.m. Carpools meet at 10 a.m. in the Lucia parking lot.
 
This is a tour you won't want to miss, as our members will meet staff and gain an appreciation of why our club has supported Interfaith for many years. Join us to learn more about how Interfaith identifies homeless families and provides housing, job training, therapy, and financial assistance.  If you plan to attend this field trip/tour, Space is limited to 25 club members and guests.  RSVP No later than Wednesday, February 26th to Secretary, Barb Alberts - barbalberts.rotary@gmail.com

Poway Symphony Orchestra 
Get your Rotary seating by calling the Poway box office on Friday or Saturday afternoons, going by in person, or buying other online tickets. This is the first of our three PSO concerts this year, which are all annual social events for our club. We are looking forward to the return of Fred Moyer, the pianist, who played for us in 2018 and 2022 and was loved by everybody. He will be playing the blockbuster Rachmaninoff Concerto No. 3. District 5340 Welcomes New Rotarians - Everyone is invited

Extended Silent Auction ENDS on March 6!
This time, our silent auction prize is a luscious basket of exotic wines and an assortment of gift cards that will go to the highest bidder at the end of the March 6th meeting. The gift basket holds approximately $1000 in assorted wines and gift cards, all of which were donated by club members. Don't miss out on this fabulous opportunity. You can bid in person at any of our next meetings or email your bid to Ken Heinz before March 6th. All proceeds go directly back to our club's budget. Support the Military through Enlisted Project (STEP)  Baby On Board

STEP does a wonderful job in supporting young military families as they navigate life in expensive San Diego.  You can find out more about the organization here:  https://www.teamstepusa.org
The drive will go from now until April 3.  They are looking for things like baby blankets, baby clothes & onesies (boys and girls), shampoo, lotion, rash cream, baby bottles, washcloths, baby towels, baby wipes, diapers (most needed: sizes 5–6), diaper bags, pacifiers, and toys.
