Minutes, September 17, 2015
President Arilla called the meeting to order at 12:30.
She requested that all rise for the pledge which was led by Lou Anna Dickerson
The Inspirational Thought was given by Paul Donick.
Brian Flaherty , as Greeter, introduced the guests, and Gary Saks led the Welcome Song.
The Volunteers were:
Sgt at Arms Vern Cook with the help of Judy Lutticken and Paul Donick.
The Front Desk Crew were Joel Doss and Sonny Googins.
Club Administrator is Kathleen Smith.
Club Newsletter continues to be produced by Bill Angus.
The Scribe was Kathleen Smith
The Family of Rotary Report reported the sad news that Lew Tyler had passed away Sunday morning of leukemia.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Bernardo Winery in October.
Lew's daughter's address has been emailed for those who would like to send a card.
John O'Neill was hurt, but is recovering so he can come back and fine folks.
Madelyn Reina is hosting a TGIX pizza night on Saturday, September 26 at 6 pm at her home.
President Arilla encouraged everyone to attend the Millions for Hope Gala on October 17th.
The club will pay $50 toward your cost. The keynote speaker will be President of Rotary International, K.R. "Ravi" Ravindran.
The Dictionary Project is coming soon. President Arilla wants everyone to start thinking about the Label Party.
Judy Lutticken was awarded her Gold Badge. Kathleen Smith was given her "Club Administrator" badge.
President Arilla became fine Master and Auctioneer for the meeting.
The Guest Speaker, Scott Lawn, was introduced by Bob Vaughn. Scott spoke about the efforts being made to save the Webb Park Lake.
Next week's meeting will be Thursday, September 24 at noon. The guest speaker will be Charlotte Perry - Mount Soledad Veteran's Memorial.
The October 8 meeting will be held at the Hacienda de Vega in Escondido. Those attending should sign up with Shirley Napierala.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:30p.
