Family of Rotary:
There was no Family of Rotary report. Fortunately we're starting off the new year in good shape!

President Don used  the "Senior Moment" portion of our weekly meeting by reading “The Object of Rotary” and reminding us all why we're members of this incredible global organization.

Announcements:
President Don reminded us of a couple of Rotary District 5340 opportunities for service and fellowship. Airport Greeters are needed on January 18th for the International Assembly which is followed by the Volunteer Reception on January 22nd.
Foundation Vice President and Club Past President Gary Saks introduced the recipients of a $1,000 check to Tech Trek, a science and math camp affiliated with The American Association of University Women (AAUW). Tech Trek encourages young girls to pursue an education and career in the STEM fields. A recent attendee of the camp shared her experience with us. This impressive 13 year old young woman reminds us how valuable these programs are and how important it is for us to support them.
President Don presented Most Valuable Rotarian (MVR) awards and gifts to two past presidents: Dave Brooks and Karen Stelman for their exceptional work in planning our Club's 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner. It was a very special evening – thank you for all your hard work in making it a memorable night for all of us!

Our esteemed Fine Master, Mr. John O'Neill was back at the helm and happy to squeeze both Happy Bucks and Fines from members.

Sandie Dewane introduced our speaker, Rob Weinberg, aka Mr. Marketing. Rob, a member of the RB Sunrise Rotary Club gave a great presentation on how to market Rotary and reminded us all to wear our Rotary pins EVERYDAY. Apparently Rob even wears his pin to bed each night!
President Don closed the meeting with an inspiration thought and quote from Vince Lombardi.

Our next meeting is January 15th at noon. Our speaker is Arlene Cawthorne, “What is Normal Forgetting VS Dementia”
