President Arilla called the meeting to order early as we had a very special guest speaker. She thanked all that helped with setting up the room, checking in, and all others that dedicate their time and efforts to help the meeting run smoothly.
President Elect Benita Page presented Don Glover with his multiple Paul Harris Foundation pin. Way to set an example Don!!
Charley Crew, our speaker chair for this quarter, had the honor of introducing our speaker, "the late" 26th President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt! He was fabulous. What a wonderful speaker and actor, all suited up in 1800's era clothes and even had that famous moustache and glasses. He really looked the part. President Roosevelt went to Harvard University and was elected the youngest member of the New York Assembly. He became a cattle rancher and then went in to politics, civil service, the Navy and was a Colonel of the 1st US Volunteer Cavalry. He became Governor of NY, VP and President of the United States, and all by the age of 42. He declared 230 million acres of nation parks, forests, wildlife refuges and national monuments. He authored over 30 books, had six children and founded Boone & Crockett, the nation's first fair hunting and conservation organization. He was known as the great Conservation president.
Joe has been featured in film and television. He performs in all 50 states and internationally. Look for an iMAX film about America's National Parks scheduled for release in early 2016, one of TR's great passions.

It was wonderful! Great food, beautiful home and surroundings capped off by a gorgeous sunset.
There will be a Training Assembly on March 19th. Please check the District Newsletter for upcoming classes and events that are scheduled. They are fun and educational.
President Elect Benita Page presented Don Glover with his multiple Paul Harris Foundation pin. Way to set an example Don!!Gary Saks, President of the RB Foundation, presented a check in the amount of $2800 to the Warrior Foundation Freedom Station. Frances Blair and (Bill Angus not in attendance) represented our club as they worked hard to raise the money for this great cause through our golf tournament.
Our esteemed Fine Master raised a whopping amount of money through fines and Happy Bucks with Maguy Feghail contributing $100 to the bucket!! $90 was for her mothers 90th birthday and $10 for the fact that her 3 sons were all home with her to celebrate! Thank you!

He had a 25 year career in politics and in 2008 he set out with his family for a 50 state tour celebrating TR's sesquicentennial birthday and the centennial of TR's final year in office. He has been featured at may Museums and Galleries. The Oregon Historical Association invites him back every year to bring TR to life for as many as 21 shows in one week, delivering a stellar performance for great audiences the whole way.
