Rancho Bernardo Rotary Meeting
January 21, 2016
Minutes
The Meeting was called to order by President Arilla at 12:30 pm.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Brian Flaherty
The Inspirational Thought by John O'Neill
The Greeter was Benita Page, who led the Welcome Song.
Volunteers were:
Set up crew, Judy Lutticken and Paul Donick
Front Desk was manned by Joel Doss
Club Newsletter is managed by Bill Angus
Club Admin and Scribe was Kathleen Smith
The Family of Rotary Report was given by President Arilla. Dan Barrios is having hip surgery on the 2nd of Feb. Jim Edwards is better and hoping to come back soon.
Ed Knight is handling tickets to the Gulls games for anyone interested.
Mike Fuqua asked for help with the 4 Way Test Contest and got several offers.
The Thousand Smiles "Clinic" will be held on Feb 5&6 in Ensenada , Mexico. More online.
The District Dinner at the Stone Brewery at Liberty Station is on Feb. 9, 6-9. See Newsletter for more.
A check was given to Bob Adams of the Interfaith Council. A thank you was received by the schools that received the dictionaries.
Big John O'Neill fined and took happy bucks.
Charley Crew introduced the speaker, Richard Trefflich, who spoke on Cuba, The Irony of the Island.
Don glover presented the speaker book.
Next week, the noon meeting will feature Mike Fuqua and the 4 Way Test Speech Contest.
