December 7, 2017

President Mike called the meeting to order at 12:20.

 

The Pledge was led by Don Glover


The Inspirational Message was given by Bob Vaughn

The Greeter was Toby Westbrook who introduced Visiting Rotarians and Guests of whom there were many.
Jim Sommer led the Welcome Song.

The Volunteers were:

Happy Birthday sung for November and December Rotarians celebrating.

Mike gave a reminder of the Holiday Party on the 14th.

Frances Blair reported that 355 holiday cards went to the Veterans' Village and 350 to the USO --go Frances!

She also has recruited 12 bell ringers for the Salvation Army.
 

The Foundation presented a $1000 to the San Diego Alzheimer's Assoc.

Arilla didn't have any Family of Rotary to report.

Finemaster John O'Neill even fined himself for being in the paper!

January 13 is now the TGIX/Dictionary signing date.  More to come.


Gary Saks introduced Rose Schindler who spoke about her experiences as a Holocaust Survivor.
