As an adjective: being or relating to a sudden or smashing success especially in comparison to previous efforts.

As a verb: to develop or emerge with suddenness or force.

If you were lucky enough to be in attendance at the March 17th performance by the
Poway Symphony with featured guest pianist Frederic Moyer, you were witness to a true breakout in symphonic excellence!

Come and see/listen to the man who pulled it all together. You will see video excepts
and commentary from that performance which earned the players a 10 minutes standing ovation.
